Jeffrey Auxer Design is a fully operational glass blowing studio and gallery that offers interactive glass blowing classes for people four years old and older.
My family and I recently visited Jeffrey Auxer Designs and had a blast. You are given a brief tutorial, choose your glass colors and then head into the glass blowing facility. Jeffrey walks you through the entire process, explains each step and gives you the opportunity to participate along the way. Jeffrey is a personable guy, great with kids and very knowledgable about the glass blowing process. The process takes about thirty-minutes and the ornaments themselves take a bit of time to cool off and set-up. The wait is worth it as the finished glass ornaments are beautiful!
Take a stroll around Berlin while you wait, grab lunch or a cup of coffee and check-out some of “America’s Coolest Small Towns” stores and attractions. They also have a gift shop attached to the studio with a lot of cool items and unique glass pieces. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 443-513-4210. Have fun!
